Who we are

We are Texyto Inc. The end user can use the following address to reach us on the world wide web: https://texyto.com.

Comments

The data shown in the comments form, IP addresses of the end user and the browser user agent string are collected to detect and counter spam.

An anonymized string created from user email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If the user uploads any kind of image/ video footage or other media, team Texyto does not interfere with the user uploaded media. Hence, any embedded data including location data (EXIF GPS) will remain in the media file and any user can download and extract data from the media files on the website.

Cookies

If the user leaves a comment on the website the user may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for the convenience of the user so that they do not have to fill in the details again when leaving another comment. The lifetime of the cookies is one calendar year.

If the user visits the Texyto login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if the end user’s browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when the user closes the browser.

When the users log in, we will also set up several cookies to save the users login information and users’ screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If the user has selected “Remember Me”, the users’ login will persist for two weeks. If the user logs out of the account, the login cookies will be removed.

If the users edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in the browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article which was just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the user has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about the user, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor the user’s interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if the users have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If the user requests a password reset, user’s IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If a user leaves a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so the website can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on the website (if any), Texyto also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If a user has an account on this site, or has left comments, they can request to receive an exported file of the personal data Texyto holds about the user, including any data the user has provided to the website. The user can also request that the website erase any personal data about the user. This does not include any data the website is obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
